Compiling MonoDevelop on a Mac is probably the least of your  
problems, in every attempt I've made, getting the appropriate  
versions of the Gtk+ and Gtk# that MonoDevelop requires underneath.

Unless you've actually accomplished that, some details as to what  
your actual problem is would be useful :)
