[MonoDevelop] GTK#

I'm trying to write a cross-platform program that's using Gtk.

The problem is that GTK# on Linux is 2.10 and Windows is 2.8.

Is there a Gtk# 2.8 for Linux?  How much lag time before 2.10 on Windows
is available?
