Well, the SIGSERV appears to be a mono bug itself (perhaps a gmcs bug), 
but I guess you can fix this problem getting the Mono.Cairo assembly 
(BTW, perhaps this is also a bug in MD: we should check this in 
configure phase, don't you think?).
