[MonoDevelop] monodevelop debugger

Hello!

I would like to know what is the most recent status of the monodevelop debugger add in. I know the release does not include it, that it is broken, but I was wondering if the latest version of monodevelop (from the source code repository) has it working, or if there is a timeframe in which it will become available. 

In the meantime, is there an alternate solution for debugging? What do you recommend?
