Hi,
I guess that you compiled with the --enable-subversion options, since
the add-in seems to be installed, so must be something else.
Which subversion client version do you have?
Please, try updating MD from SVN. I added some debug code that should
print an error message if the svn directory can't be read for some
reason. Try opening the version control submenu and see if you get any
error in the console.
