It's problem with a gtk or gtk# package in feisty. I don't know whetever 
it is because of gtk version or packaging bug.

I'm using gutsy and it was fixed about 2-3 weeks ago. Both stability and
responsivenes of MD got back to expected ones.

So you have to wait for gutsy release, or try running it while it's
still in experimental stage.
