Hello everyone,
I was trying to compile monodevelop 0.15 from the
source tarball. I download the file:
monodevelop-0.15.tar.bz2
I untarred it and then did ./configure as root. This
is what it gave me:

I have Debian Etch distribution with mono and gmcs
installed:
# uname -a
Linux lt032 2.6.18-4-686 #1 SMP Mon Mar 26 17:17:36
UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux
# mono --version
Mono JIT compiler version 1.2.2.1, (C) 2002-2006
Novell, Inc and Contributors. www.mono-project.com
TLS: normal
GC: Included Boehm (with typed GC)
SIGSEGV: normal
Disabled: none
#gmcs --version
Mono C# compiler version 1.2.2.1
#######################################
I have not compiled anything from source (none of the
above - kernel, mono, gmcs were compiled from the
source). I am trying to compile monodevelop because I
wanted to work with the latest version of MonoDevelop.
