In the translation addin I'm working, I'm experimenting with an
abstraction interface that hides if you are using gettext or
ms-resources translation support, even loading the
"translation"-provider at run-time so that you doesn't have a
hard-reference on Mono.Posix, and can make the translatable app work
in windows.

What do you think people?
