[MonoDevelop] Autotools alternative?

Hi,

Nant doesn't yet fit well into mono's application deployment guidelines
( link: http://www.mono-project.com/Guidelines:Application_Deployment ).

Autotools, on the other hand, is a tried and true method for
distributing mono applications.

That being said, a NAnt addin is on the TODO list
( http://monodevelop.org/TODO#NAnt_integration ), and it would be great
to see someone take this project up.
