[MonoDevelop] Cannot Compile code

I am using SLED 10 and went through the process of updating the
monodevelop and mono packages to the latest stable releases (1.2)? My
issue is that when I create a new project of any type, it builds without
error but then I get an application error stating that the
<projectname>.exe cannot be accessed. When I go to the output directory,
the exe has not been built.

Any ideas?
