To be honest, I really don't know what's the matter now. I had though
it might be something due to the warning dialogue box popping up, so I
tried pointing MD at my Firefox profile because I've already turned
off a lot of SSL warnings in FF.

However, it now works fine, although the boxes still come up (so it's
most likely not a GU/threading issue).

No problem, I only converted for last year's SoC, then I stayed :)
