I'm not actively working on it at the moment, but I'm trying to maintain 
it.  The problems you saw with some empty windows was that MD has been 
better handling addins by not showing their widgets for them, but the VC 
addin had to be updated to show its own widgets in some cases.

I just committed some fixes for that, so it should be functional again.
