Thanks John,
I do have both Mono and GTK# up and running on my FreeBSD platform
But I have not yet tried compiling MonoDevelop.  Since I am new
To both Mono and FreeBSD, I was hoping for some guidance from someone
Who has successfully run this before.  I'll give it a shot.
