[MonoDevelop] Trouble installing/running

Well, you are running mono from cvs, which you dont need for r1600, but
you do need for later revisions (in svn only). cvs right now is having
an issue wrt MonoDevelop, and is being fixed as quickly as possible. I
would recommend downgrading to mono 0.91, or waiting for cvs to be fixed
and a new snapshot published (which will happen right after cvs is
fixed).
