[MonoDevelop] SourceEditorBuffer background color

I've been searching for a way to change the background color of the
SourceEditorBuffer, I've found it uses SourceBuffer but I haven't found a
way of coding a background change. I can see how to insert new text with
diferents codes (as it is done for complete_ahead) but I don't know how to
change the default background for all the text. Any ideas?
