[MonoDevelop] rug install of monodevelop problem

I have installed monodevelop using rug on suse 9.0 and 9.1, but in both
cases nothing works.  The problem I get at first is that it can not find
the Mono.POSIX assembly.  So I set MONO_PATH to the mono/gac, mono/2.0,
mono/1.0, mono/gtk sharp, and mono/gecko sharp directories, but now it
complains about an Unhandled Exception: System.DllNotFoundException:
libgobject 2.0 0.dll.  It looks like I may still be missing something. 
Anyone know what it may be?
