The toolbar is not important to me, but I use Emacs.

The toolbar is likely very useful to people who are looking for an IDE
in Linux though, so I think we should keep the toolbar, and in the
future move to the native Gtk+ or Egg toolbars since they support most
of the advanced features you need from them (Egg we can copy today into
our tree and use).

In particular, for the debugger they will be very handy.
