mono provides the compiler, run-time vm, and class libraries. you need
a program to run, like monodevelop, or muine ( a pretty cool music app )

in any case, you can just try (where 'my host>' represents your command
prompt in bash):

my host> mono

and you will get lots of help info, or try:

my host> mcs --help

for the compiler.

for help try:

my host> monodoc

and if monodevelop is installed:

my host> monodevelop

to set up an icon in gnome, just right-click on the desktop, and from
the menu choose 'create launcher'.

the rest should be obvious...(i'm not sure what to do for kde. )

welcome to the penguin revolution...these guys that have developed mono-
miguel and crew, and the md team are awesome. Thanks to all of them,
and keep up the great work!
