I have just installed MonoDevelop

When I run monodevelop and attempt to access the samples from monodevelop's menu
I find monodevelop aborts with the following:-
Reading
/home/alf/.config/MonoDevelop/CodeCompletionData/mscorlib_1.0.5000.0_b77a5c561934e089.pidb
Creating DefaultWorkbench

What have I missed?
Just in case gtkhtml is an issue the version I think I have installed is
gtkhtml3-3.0.9-i486-1rob. How do I proove that the system is using
gtkhtml-3-3.0.9 rather than 3.0 or 3.1 which are also installed.

Interesting enough I get a similar problem when running monodoc, see below.
