The project page has an overview of the project and some examples of
things that could be done:
http://www.mono-project.com/StudentProjects#Make_ASP.NET_Awesome_in_Xamarin_Studio

This particular project is very flexible. I'm looking for a student
who knows how to create a good development experience, so the proposal
is a chance to show that you're capable of looking at what's already
there and seeing what could be improved, and doing research comparing
it to other development tools such as Visual Studio. If you have
specific questions about the how/why of various things please ask, but
I'm not going to give an itemized list of tasks for this project - I
want to see what you can come up with :)
