[Mono-winforms-list] Workaround for this bug? (Audible Alert makes Msgbox.show blow up)

I have encountered this bug on OSX using (version 2.6.1, tarball Thu Dec 17
10:19:23 MST 2009):

*Is there any temporary workaround to get the Show method working?*

*If not, can I just install an older version of Mono with no problems? *

The trace is always the same, more or less:
