[Mono-winforms-list] Scanner using Mono on Linux-Mac OS X

Hi all, I'm developing an SWF application that require scanner integration.
May platform will be Microsoft Xp or more recent but I want to have
cross-platform functionality.
Exist a tecnology that allow me to have this cross-platform? I think that
Twain and Wia are Microsoft specific tecnology.
