[Mono-winforms-list] The operation is invalid [GDI+ status:Win32Error]

This must be the most 'popular'(!) bug ever. :-,)  That's four of us
reported it now -- including me.  See the first report at
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=342733 (followed by 343342
and 343839).

It's fixed in SVN, including in the 1.2.6 branch, and will thus be
included in the next preview/release.  To continue my testing for now
I've switched my code check-out to the 1.2.6 branch and built the
product myself.
