Is this from source or rpms? It could be that the code you're trying to
run includes a call to part of MWF which hasn't been implemented yet.

Grab it from svn.

This explains a lot. The rpm is about 5 - 6 weeks behind current
developments and it's quite reasonable therefore to expect things which
work on a box where mono is built from source for this to work while one
using rpms won't.

Moral of the story : rpms will work, but not as well as compiling daily.
