Did you follow the instructions for building it from my website :
http://www.all-the-johnsons.co.uk/mono/mono-compiling.html ? - it tells
you what dependancies there are (on the FAQ page) and how to build it to
avoid problems.

As to the 1.1.4 release, dunno. I'd imagine it won't be too long off.
