Yes, it is really possible. :-)
At least ten people  I know do it,
many of them use win32api patches,
particularly against CVS files... .
Meantime you should note, that the project is still in progress ...
Read please README files carefully....
I  hope you will be able to build gui_runtime
The new patches will be issued next week, check winforms-list
periodically....
