Personal opinion: if there is enough people that want to work on it,
I don't think anyone is opposed to have a Gtk# implementation of
Windows.Forms. After all, all you need is an editor to code it:-)

The main problem with the issue of making the wine implementation not
the default is that an application may use helper assemblies (even
dynamically at runtime) that need the full winforms implementation
and once an app has been started with the Gtk#-based implementation, it
can't switch back to the wine-based one.
