[mono-vb] mono-vb on slackware 13.0

I managed to build mono-vb on slackware-13.0 and it's running.  The only 
thing now is in order to run something I compile, I have to do a command 
like mono ./iching.exe to run the iching.exe program.  It doesn't work if 
I just type ./iching.exe as it did when I was using mono--vb over in 
debian.  Might there be something else I need to do to get stand-alone 
executables building on slackware?
