[mono-vb] mono-basic not building under Solaris in recent mono-2-6 branch revisions

i am seeing (two different) problems in building mono-basic under Solarisx86
and Solaris Sparc in the recent mono-2-6 branch revisions.  It this a
problem to be reported as a mono problem instead of a mono-basic problem?
