[mono-vb] .NET 1.1 application on MONO 2.0

"Some error" is quite vague. We can't guess anything from that. It could be
something unimplemented or buggy in Mono, or it could be that the
application calls Windows DLLs and therefore can't work out of Windows...

Other than that, Mono 2.4 is the current stable version. But maybe you'd
like to post the exact error message before trying to upgrade your Mono
installation, as it's possible it still won't work with Mono 2.4.
