for me it seems as if something is wrong with your DirectCast statement:

DirectCast(_clsdbRep.Leitsymptome.Select(qry), dsRep.LeitsymptomeRow())

Did you check that?

I've downloaded your source code from sourceforge.net, but cannot I find the
coding you've added in your message ...
