[mono-vb] starting to program and need some help

i want to make a simple music player for windows and linux/unix

but first i want to learn how to program small programs but i really want to
learn how to do make the music player first things first i want to learn how
to do it in c++ for windows and gtk for linux

i have experience in bash and batch
