Mono ought to *work* on that chip, but who knows what kind of exciting
issues there are in the environment causing problems. Also note that
Debian 7 is very old (and so is the Mono version in there). The ship has
sailed on making fixes to packages in Debian 7.

Can you either try building your own Mono from source, or installing
packages from mono-project.com?
