[Mono-osx] System.IO.Directory.Exists Question!

Hi,there

I used the code : System.IO.Directory.Exists("~/Desktop/testFolder") to
check if the folder exists. but I found it didn't work. It seems this method
does not support "~".

However, it works when you use "/Users/someone" instead of "~".

Anyone knows why?
