[Mono-osx] Rebuilding from source.

What are the correct steps to building monomac from source.

I have both maccore and monomac at the same level.
I did a git clone of the monomac, then cd into the monomac directory and 
then typed make.
But I then get "error CS0006: Metadata file `../../src/MonoMac.dll' 
could not be found"

kangaroo on IRC ( Geoff ) mentioned I had build it, but I thought that 
is what make did.
I think I've missed out a step, but can't remember it. What am I missing?
