[Mono-osx] Failing to install xsp/mod_mono on a Power Mac G5

Hi, I have been having a hard time installing XSP and mod_mono on my Mac.
I tried compiling xsp-2.8 by following the INSTALL instructions and using: 

./configure --prefix=/usr 
make
make install
------------------------------------------

make gives me the errors: 
make[3]: *** [dboage2.sqlite] Error 1
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

make install gives me the errors:
make[2]: *** [install-man1] Error 71
make[1]: *** [install-am] Error 2
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

I am quite new to Macs so I have no idea of what is going on. 
Any ideas on what is going on and how to install xsp and mod_mono on my
machine would be greatly appreciated.
