[Mono-osx] Bundling Mono runtime into CD installer

Please indulge my newbie question.

I have an executable written in C# that is a command line utility that
performs various functions including web service calls. I need to recompile
this for Mac OSX and ship it as part of a large installation via CD or DVD.
After doing a bit of preliminary reading my understanding is that Mono is a
compiler AND a runtime, therefore I now believe that I will have to bundle
some portion of Mono into my installer and install it on each client
machine. Could someone point me at additional reading that would show me how
to do this? I am predominantly a .NET developer with a bit of Linux
experience, and Mac OSX is new to me. I'm hoping to find information that
will show me from the ground up where everything needs to go so that I can
build a reliable installer for my product on the Mac.

Thanks very much.
