[Mono-osx] How do you conditionally run code for either Mac OSX or Windows?

I would like to run some code if a Mac OSX on mono 2.2 and in other cases for
Windows and DotNet 2.x
How do you do that?  

For example: I will run certain code to get the Windows System temp path if
Windows and other code to get a persistent temp path that will work on Mac
OSX.

I am developing in VS 2005.NET with C# code and DotNet 2.x.
