My apologies, I got the chronology slightly wrong.

Nonetheless, If you look at NextStep, you will see the point I was 
trying to make that UI has always been separate from "interaction code"; 
and that is what makes the divide betwen "traditional" Windows apps 
where code can be mixed with the UI classes.


Now, if we could only get something akin to DatabaseKit so that we could 
connect to different database vendors <mutter, mutter>
