[Mono-osx] osx winforms problems

I use the newest MONO framework (downloaded today),
when I try to launch a program compiled on windows(for target = .net 2.0) 
I get and System.TypeInitializationException that is caused because of [GDI+
status: FontFamilyNotFound].
I read somewhere that I need to install the xorg-fonts package, but found no
details on how to do it.
I am very new to OSX so please explain to me the complicated steps.
