...just managed to reproduce the system freeze. This one occurs when  
trying to show the properties of an imported library (nunit.framework  
in this case).

Message: Exception occurred: glibsharpglue-2  
System.DLLNotFoundException...

It's not possible to copy the message out of the box "Unhandled  
Exception"

Stopping the IDE by killing the process (the only possible way)  
produces a dump.
