...the command rm -rf ~/.config/MonoDevelop did not solve my problems. The system freeze is still present. However the hint to the plugins may point to the solution. I renamed the file which holds the entries fo the activated plugins. This freezed the whole IDE. Any further hints? Yours, Norbert
