[Mono-osx] Building Mono on OSX86 (Macbook) -pthreads missing, jpeg dylib, etc

Hi folks,

I am attempting to build mono on the new Macbook from source.  Knee deep in
the deps, and I am getting a lot of this:

i686-apple-darwin8-gcc-4.0.1: unrecognized option '-pthreads'

Yet things still build.  Should I be concerned?

Also,
The jpeg lib build the .a file and installs it, but doesn't create the dylib
files (as the libpng and tiff do)...  What do I need to do to rectify this?
