[Mono-list] xbuild and relative paths

Hello,
I'm attempting to use xbuild with a Microsoft .sln file to build a
project.  Unfortunately the build fails with the following error: Access to
the path "/data" is denied.

I don't have permissions to that root path "/data", but I do have
permissions to the subfolders UNDER /data where the .sln file is located.
Is it possible to force xbuild to use relative paths instead?

Definitely let me know if this should go to a different list.
