[Mono-list] COM Interop

I tried to implement a C++ COM object that can be called via Mono COM
interop.  It seems that the QueryInterface is passed with a pointer to
REFIID, instead of REFIID directly.  Is my observation correct?  If so, why
is that?  Isn't this a deviation from the standard?
