What version of Ubuntu? What version of Mono comes in this version of 
Ubuntu?

First thing I would try is get your web app to run with xsp. If it works 
with xsp, then the problem is in mod_mono itself. If it doesn't work 
with xsp, then you have reduced your testcase already. Keep reducing it.
