[Mono-list] Asp.Net questions

To be more specific:

On ubuntu server 12.04 x86_64, the default included version of mono is archaic (2.10).  And the xamarin apt repos seem to be also broken (Hash Sum mismatch).

On ubuntu server 12.04 x86_64, the built-in version of mono is reasonable (3.2.8) but when installing libapache2-mod-mono and mono-apache-server2, apt simply hangs.

I could go build from source, or try a different OS distribution...  But when I got the results above, I thought, maybe I should just use php or something else.
