[Mono-list] Error Installing 3.8.0 on CentoOS 6.5

Just to add one more voice here, I am facing the exact same error on Centos
6.5 after following the instructions:
rpm --import xamarin.gpg
yum-config-manager --add-repo http://download.mono-project.com/repo/centos/
>> Package epel-release-6-8.noarch already installed and latest version
$ sudo yum install libgdi*

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
Instead, disabling that mono repo again and following instructions along
these lines to install from source worked flawlessly:
