It seems to me that the work integrating the .NET code, the #ifdef removal, and deprecating the older profiles would nicely combine to justify bumping the Mono version number, as posited previously.


Congratulations, and enjoy your celebration. The work you have all been doing will be greatly enhanced by today's news, and your advocacy in this area has been greatly appreciated.

Hey guys,

I posted details about the open sourcing of .NET and Mono on my blog.

We have already started the work to integrate the .NET Framework code, and
once I get back to Boston after the event we will check in the results.
That is the reason we did not want to take the large #ifdef patch removal a
couple of weeks ago.
