[Mono-list] Does Mono Basic support lag behind C#?

I installed via packages built for Ubuntu from Eberhard Beilharz published
to: https://launchpad.net/~ermshiperete/+archive/monodevelop

That looked to me the proper way to obtain the latest version specifically
for the Ubuntu distros.

I suppose I should be in touch with them since I am having this difficulty
with their custom build. Jah?
